The Heinkel He177, also known as the Greif or "Griffon," was a long-range, twin-engine strategic bomber produced by the German aircraft manufacturer, Heinkel Flugzeugwerke. The He177 was designed to carry a heavy payload over long distances, making it an effective weapon against Allied targets deep within enemy territory. With a wingspan of over 21 meters and a length of nearly 18 meters, this bomber was one of the largest and most advanced aircraft of its time. Its distinctive twin-boom design, with the wings set high on the fuselage, gave it a unique appearance and provided excellent stability in flight. The He177 was powered by two Daimler-Benz DB603A engines, each producing over 1,700 horsepower.
