In this collection of sandstones, the rich and varied coloration of these sedimentary rocks comes to life against a stark black background. Starting at the twelve o'clock position, we find the enchanting Ightham Stone, a unique green sandstone hailing from Ightham, Kent, England. Its distinctive coloration is attributed to the presence of chlorite and pyrite minerals, which impart a deep, earthy green hue. Moving clockwise, we encounter the brown St Bees sandstone, named after the picturesque coastal town in Cumbria, England.
