Sixteen traffic wardens of the Shepherds Bush area have formed their own ladies football
Sixteen traffic wardens of the Shepherds Bush area have formed their own ladies football team. They held a competition amongst themselves to find a name for their team. The competition was won by warden Mrs June Nott. The name " The Yellow Lions". They went along this afternoon to the Queens Park Rangers ground to meet some of the team and limber up on the ground. Their only match to date, the wardens beat the police " D" Divisional Champions, Harrow Road Police Station by 6-2. Warden June Nott with QPRs Phil Parkes. 24th February 1972
