Admiral Sir E R Evans ( Evans of the Broke ), Commander in Chief of the North, inspected the new boys training establishment. HMS Wildfire, which is under the command of Captain J Figgins.
Captain Figgins is the first commander of the school, which is established in the building where he received his Navy Training as a boy. He joined the Navy in 1902 and was promoted from the lower deck to commision rank.
