Howard Kendall played for Everton from 1967 to 1974.
He returned as player/manager Everton Football Club in 1981, then as manager he won the FA Cup against Watford in 1984, and finished top of the league in the 1984/5 and 1986/7 seasons. He left his managerial job at Everton in 1987.
With Liverpool, his Everton team saw Merseyside football teams dominate the English football league in the 1980s.
